Towercom, a Slovak telecommunications provider of terrestrial and satellite TV, radio and data services, faced a broken performance management process: HR relied on manual Excel spreadsheets to track bonuses, lacked usable performance data, and found nearly every employee receiving full bonuses—undermining pay-for-performance fairness and visibility.

Towercom implemented PiiQ by Cornerstone after a pilot with managers and employees; the cloud-based, customizable system made goal setting and tracking simple, centralized performance data, and enabled measurable, personalized goals. The change increased goal completion, improved fairness and transparency (92% of pilot respondents rated the system pleasant and fair), and gave HR the data needed to identify top performers and target learning and development.
