Mater, a Queensland-based healthcare and community care organization, needed to modernize its learning and development approach as its workforce grew and the pandemic forced a rapid shift from face-to-face training to cloud-based, self-serve learning. Using Cornerstone OnDemand, Mater also had to consolidate multiple legacy LMS platforms and introduce better performance management while supporting time-poor employees across a large hospital network.

Cornerstone OnDemand delivered a single cloud-based LMS, Performance, and Learning Content solution that replaced three separate systems and transformed training access, reporting, and user experience. The results included mandatory compliance tracking that is now far easier to manage, performance appraisal completion rising from about 30% to around 60%, and course offerings expanding from 300–400 to more than 7,000. Mater also gained single sign-on, cleaner “single source of truth” data, and significant time and cost savings.
