Central New Mexico Community College (CNM), the largest undergraduate institution in New Mexico and a top-ranked issuer of associate degrees and certificates for several student groups, faced fragmented recruiting and training systems. An outdated ATS left requisitions inconsistent, hiring updates manual and unreportable, and multiple disconnected LMSs eroded trust in training records—resulting in slow, inefficient hiring and limited talent management visibility.

In 2015 CNM implemented Cornerstone OnDemand to unify recruiting, onboarding and learning. The platform provided historical recruiting data, real-time candidate communication, consolidated learning records and streamlined mandatory reporting, cutting a “spaghetti” hire workflow down to fewer than 10 steps, speeding time-to-hire and restoring learner and HR trust.
