Westtek Solutions, founded in 2010 by Francis West, needed to grow and diversify without adding headcount after earlier scalability problems that left the company dependent on people rather than systems. With a five-person in-house team (two engineers), Westtek had to deliver true 24x7 support and take on larger clients while avoiding the costs and management overhead of a bigger staff.

The company now supports 47 clients across nearly 100 locations and ~1,000 machines (including 70 servers), has increased revenue per employee from ~£100k to £240k (2.4x), and has shifted to leading with security to open new growth opportunities while keeping a lean team.
