Whirlpool Corporation - Customer Case Study

The Whirlpool Corporation, a global appliance manufacturer, sought to drive growth through innovation and operational efficiency. To support its global strategy, the company needed to standardize business processes, consolidate financials, and optimize technology investments. Whirlpool partnered with Consumer Goods Technology to implement SAP Exchange Infrastructure (XI) as a new integration platform, aiming to replace higher-cost legacy systems and enhance capabilities.

Consumer Goods Technology's solution involved implementing SAP XI to replace Whirlpool's existing EAI tools and legacy systems. This new platform provided a more efficient and cost-effective method for trade and supplier integration, as well as internal process integration. As a result, Whirlpool successfully decommissioned its entire legacy platform, reallocating the associated budget to other opportunities. The implementation enhanced interconnectivity, streamlined data synchronization with suppliers via 1Sync, and provided a strategic foundation for future innovations like service-oriented architecture (SOA).
