A Consumer Goods Technology Case Study
Tylenol, a Johnson & Johnson brand, faced the challenge of successfully reintroducing its rapid release gels to the market and establishing Walgreens as the primary destination for the product. Their goal was to effectively reach transitional pain sufferers who need fast relief. To address this, Tylenol partnered with Consumer Goods Technology and its agency partners on an omnichannel campaign.
The solution implemented by Consumer Goods Technology included a mobile-first strategy, notably leveraging the Waze navigation app to direct consumers to the nearest Walgreens store. This was complemented by in-store motion-activated video units and extensive retail messaging. The campaign reached over 25 million mobile users in its first month, successfully driving both Tylenol brand share and overall category growth at Walgreens, exceeding all expectations.
