A Consumer Goods Technology Case Study
Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev), a global beer company operating in over 50 countries, faced the challenge of improving its pricing decisions in a complex, regulated beverage market. Its existing processes were unstructured, inefficient, and lacked granularity, making it difficult to understand price elasticity at a detailed SKU level. To address this, AB InBev partnered with the vendor Tredence for its artificial intelligence and data science solutions.
Tredence executed a 10-week project across seven markets, developing automated models using a wide range of internal and external data sources to compute price elasticity. The solution provided easy-to-use tools and visualizations, achieving approximately 80-90% accuracy. This data-driven framework empowered business teams to confidently make pricing decisions, with the company executing nearly 100% of the resulting recommendations and building a solid foundation for future scaling.
