A Consumer Goods Technology Case Study
Easton-Bell Sports (EBS), a mid-market company with a powerhouse portfolio of sports brands, faced a significant challenge after a series of acquisitions. The company was operating on multiple disparate systems, which created risk around Sarbanes Oxley compliance and made consolidating financial information for board meetings a monumental task. To support its growth and channel diversity, EBS needed to unify its infrastructure and adopt common processes. They partnered with vendor Consumer Goods Technology to implement a solution.
The solution implemented by Consumer Goods Technology was a rapid, top-to-bottom SAP implementation, which included financials, order entry, sales and distribution, operations, and warehouse management. Driven by strong executive support and a key focus on communication, the project went live for eight facilities in just eight months. This provided EBS with an integrated solution and a common business structure, eliminating costly interfaces and disparate data. The new platform enables future cost savings and allows for the quick rollout of systems to remaining business units and future acquisitions.
