A Conduent Case Study
The urban community of Marseille Provence Métropole sought to modernize its ticketing system by creating a single, interoperable contactless card for use across eight different transport modes, including bus, metro, tram, and ferry services. They partnered with Conduent to undertake this complex, large-scale modernization project, requiring a solution that could integrate numerous operators and manage revenue sharing.
Conduent implemented its Atlas® system to manage all equipment and precisely distribute revenue between the various transport operators. The solution enabled seamless multimodal travel for passengers with a single Transpass card and successfully handled 150,000 journeys annually. As a result, Conduent helped create the largest contactless multimodal network in France, significantly enhancing the user experience for the area's 450,000 yearly ticket holders.
