Conduent implemented its CategoriX solution, first successfully defending its use in court against opposition. The process involved creating multiple training sets from the massive data collection. The results were significant: CategoriX defensibly eliminated 86% of the documents, reducing the manual review set to just 4.1 million. Conduent demonstrated that the alternative search terms proposed by the opposition would have required reviewing 6.7 million documents, meaning the firm avoided the cost of manually reviewing an extra 2.6 million non-responsive documents.
