Global Convenience Store Launches Mobile Checkout to Reduce Shopper Friction

Concentrix worked with Global Convenience Store, a global convenience store chain in Australia with more than 670 stores, to address limited customer data and the need to demonstrate innovation to both shoppers and franchisees. The company wanted to launch its first consumer-facing mobile checkout app and make it stand out in the market.

Concentrix delivered the Fuel App MVP through discovery, ideation, user testing, and an Agile build, then supported ongoing quarterly releases under a managed services program. The result was over 1 million downloads, more than $5 million saved on fuel purchases, 2.3x more frequent shopping, 14% higher spend than non-app users, 40% new customers, and a consistent 4-star-plus app store rating, while also giving the business richer customer data for better sales and marketing decisions.
