Case Study: RIEDEL achieves unified global commerce and streamlined omnichannel sales with commercetools

A commercetools Case Study

Preview of the Riedel Case Study

Riedel - Customer Case Study

RIEDEL Glas, the Kufstein, Austria–based glassware maker selling in over 125 countries, faced a fragmented digital presence: three separate systems (a B2C webshop, a B2B shop and the brand site) that strained communication, ordering and global sales. To modernize and future-proof commerce, RIEDEL Glas selected commercetools, adopting the commercetools headless commerce platform (alongside Magnolia CMS) to provide a modular, scalable foundation.

commercetools delivered a microservices-based, headless solution that consolidated the three sites into one global platform while allowing country-specific customization for languages, payments and delivery. After the 2018 relaunch, RIEDEL Glas moved to a unified frontend and networked all retailers (within six months all retailers were online), eliminated duplicated data, simplified global management and enabled faster, localized innovation through commercetools and its Professional Services.
