How Berlin Brands Group is launching unique and custom web shops for brands across Europe in a phased roll-out

Berlin Brands Group, an international D2C eCommerce company managing 14 brands and over 3,000 products across 28 markets, needed a cloud-native, robust and scalable platform to launch unique, market-tailored web shops for each brand across Europe. To meet this challenge they selected commercetools’ composable, API-first cloud commerce platform (100% headless with PIM capabilities) to enable distinct storefronts, multi-currency and multi-language support.

commercetools implemented a best-of-breed headless architecture alongside an implementation partner and Berlin Brands Group’s internal IT team; a successful MVP go‑live of a small web shop validated the approach and accelerated migration of additional brands. As a result, Berlin Brands Group can now rapidly roll out customized web shops, experiment with complex product types, bundles and promotions, and scale commerce operations across 28 markets.
