PRECITOOL (PRECITOOL Werkzeughandel GmbH), a group of 19 independent partner companies with a catalog of roughly 550,000 products, needed to digitally represent each partner and optimize group synergies by uniting them on a single, future‑proof eCommerce platform. To meet this challenge PRECITOOL chose commercetools’ headless commerce platform (implemented with partner dotSource) as the vendor technology to provide a scalable, modern foundation.
commercetools implemented the PRECITOOL standard shop as a microservices‑based, headless solution that integrates multiple ERP systems and sales processes while allowing retailer‑specific customization and easy onboarding of partner admins. As a result, PRECITOOL and its partners were able to unite on a common B2B commerce platform, successfully expand online trading, increase brand awareness, and gain a highly scalable, adaptable commerce stack.
