Cambrian College Improves Recruitment with Comm100 Live Chat & Chatbot

Cambrian College, a college of applied arts and technology in Greater Sudbury, faced the loss of face-to-face recruitment and student support during the COVID-19 pandemic and needed an accessible, timely way to engage prospective and current students. To address this, Cambrian College partnered with Comm100 to deploy Comm100 Live Chat and later its AI Chatbot to recreate personal, one-to-one support online.

Comm100 implemented live chat staffed by student agents and worked with Cambrian to build BurnieBot, a 24/7 Comm100 Chatbot that handles over 70% of chats, allowing support across time zones while maintaining a 4.5/5 live chat CSAT. The solution increased recruitment touchpoints, improved student experience, and led Cambrian to expand Comm100 chatbot use into its International department.
