Case Study: Heathrow Airport achieves rapid, high-availability cloud loyalty platform with Comarch

A Comarch Case Study

Preview of the Heathrow Airport Case Study

Comarch Data Center Implementation at Heathrow Airport

Heathrow Airport, Europe’s busiest hub with over 400 retail outlets and 120 global brands, needed a scalable, secure and cost‑effective loyalty and business-application platform to manage rewards, integrate with merchants’ POS and support contact-center operations. In 2012 Heathrow selected Comarch to provide Comarch Loyalty Management for Airports and hosted services from the Comarch Data Center to meet strict availability, integration and TCO requirements.

Comarch implemented the Comarch Loyalty Management for Airports solution (launched May 2013 and delivered within six months), deployed in a geo‑redundant Comarch Data Center environment with PaaS services—platform administration, monitoring, DR/asynchronous replication, backups and high‑availability clusters—plus modular Business Administration, Contact Center and Web Portal applications and front‑end/contact‑center partners. As a result, Comarch delivered the required high availability, reliability, scalability and security, centralized support and lower total cost of ownership while supporting Heathrow’s large retail ecosystem and accelerating time‑to‑market.
