A Cognizant Case Study
A multinational bank serving millions of retail customers across Canada engaged Cognizant’s design firm Idea Couture to create an ideal digital money management (DMM) experience. The bank wanted a mobile, automated and engaging solution—features like spending comparisons, spending limits and account aggregation—that would simplify day‑to‑day money management and help customers feel more confident about their finances.
Using co‑creative Context Labs the team uncovered three guiding design principles, generated 12 concepts, and built low‑fidelity prototypes that were tested with customers. One key concept was moved into development and released in 2017, with three additional concepts planned—positioning the bank as a leader in digital customer experience.
