Locking Down a Bank’s Cyber Security Infrastructure

Cognizant partnered with a major bank that needed to tighten IT security risk management, compliance and audit capabilities across its infrastructure, applications and data. The bank sought a trusted security adviser to design and operationalize stronger, standards-based defenses.

Using a phased design–build–manage–enhance approach, Cognizant redesigned data‑center security, refreshed network and security products, built disaster recovery and continuity controls, performed baseline assessments and hardening, and integrated security workflows with threat intelligence and incident‑response processes. The engagement implemented the SANS Top 20 Controls and a real‑time monitoring/action stack, creating a comprehensive, measurable cybersecurity posture across the bank’s infrastructure, applications and data.
