Cognizant, a global IT and BPO provider with a large insurance practice, faced a rapidly changing property & casualty (P&C) insurance BPO market where buyers demanded scale, broader geographic delivery, advanced analytics and automation. To grow its footprint and better meet client needs, Cognizant needed to sign new contracts, strengthen technology-led services, and demonstrate measurable market and delivery capability improvements.
Cognizant expanded its global delivery footprint (notably in Europe), formed partnerships (Guidewire, Measure, Blueprint), acquired digital capabilities, and launched platforms and analytics-driven solutions such as AssureEngage, the Unified Insurance Platform, U‑Whiz, the Optima suite and fraud/analytics tools. In the 12 months to June 2016 it signed six new P&C contracts, achieved over 15% revenue growth, improved buyer satisfaction and was recognized by Everest Group as a Leader and Star Performer on the 2017 P&C Insurance BPO PEAK Matrix.
