Preview of the KLM Open Case Study

The KLM Open selling 50,000 tickets within 30 seconds

KLM Open, the Dutch Open golf tournament organized by TIG Sports, needed a ticketing and entrance-control setup that could handle high demand smoothly for its 100th edition. The goal was to make ticket purchasing as fast and easy as possible for visitors, while also supporting branded ticket sales, mobile-friendly communication, and efficient access control. CM.com’s EventsIT ticketing software was used to support this process.

CM.com implemented a streamlined ticketing flow with no login requirement, pre-filled customer details via personal URLs, and mobile-first ticket delivery through its Email Campaigns tool, allowing tickets to be bought in as little as 30 seconds. At the event, CM.com’s scanning software helped hostesses process entry quickly, while mobile updates and SMS messaging kept visitors informed before and during the tournament. The result was the successful sale of 50,000 tickets within 30 seconds and smoother, data-driven access control for KLM Open.
