Lowlands, the Dutch festival organized by Mojo Concerts B.V., wanted a better alternative to traditional cashless tokens and long queues at the bar. The team needed a payment solution that was reliable, easy to use, and financially secure for festival visitors. CM.com’s Mobile Order was introduced as part of the Lowlands app to solve this challenge.
CM.com implemented Mobile Order so visitors could order food and drinks in the Lowlands app, scan a QR code at the bar, and pay afterward from a linked bank account or credit card. The pilot worked offline, was easy to onboard, and supported group ordering with the “Scan a Friend” feature. At least 4,000 festivalgoers signed up, repeat purchases were strong, and Lowlands reported positive feedback from staff and visitors, with plans to offer CM.com’s Mobile Order again in future editions.
