PortingXS helps telecom operators manage number portability, allowing customers to keep their phone numbers when switching providers. To improve the customer journey and reduce call-center volume, PortingXS needed a reliable way to notify and authorize porting requests through SMS and voice, including support for customers who couldn’t easily use SMS.

Using CM.com’s SMS and Voice API, PortingXS automated notifications and authorization with SMS smart validation codes and an IVR flow on a free 0800 number for voice-based confirmation. The solution gave PortingXS real-time insight into message status, improved customer experience, and helped remove friction for prepaid users and other customers who could not respond by SMS.
