Albert Heijn exceeds expectations with high speed shopping

AH to go, part of Albert Heijn, wanted to make grocery shopping dramatically faster and more convenient for customers on the go. To meet this challenge, AH to go worked with CM.com to support a new cashless shopping concept called Tap to go, combining mobile payments, identification, and NFC-based in-store interaction.

CM.com implemented the payments and onboarding flow, including OTP phone verification, IBAN verification, automatic direct debit, and fallback payment recovery via SMS/email, plus analytics through its Customer Data Platform. The result was a streamlined experience that reduced average shopping time from 3 minutes to about 20 seconds, while helping AH to go increase store visits and spend, with a scalable hybrid model for future rollout.
