Visma Enterprise protects critical educational resources and student data with Cloudflare Magic Transit

Visma Enterprise, part of the Visma group, operates Wilma—the national school platform used across Finland by students, parents, and schools with about one million active users monthly. In April 2021 a sustained DDoS attack overwhelmed Visma Enterprise’s existing defenses, disrupted Wilma’s availability, and threatened SLAs and access to critical student data and communications.

Visma quickly moved Wilma behind Cloudflare Magic Transit, and within an hour the multi-day attack was mitigated and services restored. Since then Magic Transit has prevented outages, reduced server load and page load times by filtering malicious traffic, and helped Visma demonstrate strong protection of student data while benefiting from responsive Cloudflare support.
