Preview of the Villeroy & Boch Case Study

Villeroy & Boch secures 125-country ecommerce operations with Cloudflare

Villeroy & Boch, a global premium ceramics brand, faced the challenge of securing its expanding ecommerce infrastructure and internal cloud applications against threats like DDoS attacks, bots, and inventory hoarding. After moving over 70% of their applications offsite, they required a robust security solution and selected Cloudflare for its Web Application Firewall, DDoS Protection, and Bot Management services.

Cloudflare implemented its Layer 7 security services, which immediately reduced malicious bot traffic and SQL injection attempts, lowering server load and hardware requirements. The solution automatically mitigated attacks, including a sophisticated inventory hoarding bot on their Swedish and Norwegian sites. Villeroy & Boch reported that Cloudflare's automation allowed them to quickly get stores back online during attacks, a feat not possible with their previous vendor.
