VicRoads, the road authority for Victoria, Australia, needed a high-performance, secure digital presence to match its public service goals. For a new site they wanted the fastest managed DNS and a simpler, more robust stack to replace a custom legacy solution while keeping costs low and meeting security and compliance requirements.

They built the site around Cloudflare, replacing six prior systems and using Cloudflare’s Managed DNS, CDN, Argo Smart Routing, DDoS mitigation, WAF and Rate Limiting. The result: up to 85% faster time to first byte with Argo, 2.1 TB (44%) monthly bandwidth savings, 22,604 threats blocked, higher conversions and fewer complaints—while maintaining strong security and support.
