Upside, a business travel platform for unmanaged business travelers, needed to stop brute-force login attempts aimed at user accounts while also improving site speed. The company wanted a simpler, more flexible setup than its previous CDN and DNS arrangement, and chose Cloudflare for security and performance support.

Cloudflare implemented granular Rate Limiting, reputation-based IP scoring, WAF protection, and a CDN to reduce attack traffic and simplify deployments. As a result, Upside blocked 19,713 threats, saw a significant drop in attacks, and improved page load times through Cloudflare’s performance network.
