Taringa! is the largest user-generated content platform born in Latin America, serving over 60 million users across Argentina, Mexico, Spain, Colombia and other Spanish-speaking markets since 2004. As its audience grew exponentially, the company needed a way to ensure fast, reliable and secure access for users across the region while minimizing load on origin servers.

In 2015 Taringa! moved its application onto Cloudflare’s global network (76+ datacenters), using edge caching, encryption and HTTP/2 to accelerate delivery and protect the site. The result: roughly 500 TB of image traffic served monthly from the edge, over 80% savings in monthly bandwidth costs, faster load times, improved availability and reduced origin requests — with network response times maintained or improved across Latin America.
