State of Arizona secures 210 entities statewide with Cloudflare

The State of Arizona faced the challenge of providing simple but effective online security for its many public entities, including cities, counties, and school districts, many of which had limited IT resources and were vulnerable to cyber attacks. To address this, the state partnered with Cloudflare to supply security solutions as part of its Cyber Readiness Program, utilizing products like the Web Application Firewall (WAF), Bot Management, and a Content Delivery Network (CDN).

Cloudflare implemented its cloud-native security solutions, which were easily deployed and provided complete layer-seven protection, including DDoS mitigation and rate limiting. The results were highly positive, with over 210 entities and 80 domains now secured. The solution ensured website availability, protected confidential data, and provided cost savings. Cloudflare's support and training empowered these organizations to manage their security autonomously, making the partnership a critical success for the state's whole-of-state security approach.
