SCAYLE - Customer Case Study

SCAYLE, the commerce platform spun out of ABOUT YOU and the OTTO Group, powers over 100 European online fashion shops (including Marc O’Polo and Tom Tailor) and offers technology and consulting to help brands scale. Rapid growth exposed the platform to more frequent and sophisticated ecommerce attacks — credential stuffing, DDoS floods, and scalper bots — and their previous WAF-based approach could no longer keep pace.

SCAYLE implemented Cloudflare’s WAF, Bot Management, Rate Limiting, and automatic DDoS mitigation to harden defenses. As a result, credential stuffing attacks have been eliminated, DDoS incidents are handled automatically (saving security engineers 30–60 minutes per incident), and scalper bots are blocked from draining inventory — protecting customer accounts, preserving revenue, and improving site reliability and user experience.
