Case Study: Olo achieves secure, branded HTTPS for white-label ordering domains with Cloudflare

A Cloudflare Case Study

Preview of the Olo Case Study

Olo - Customer Case Study

Olo is the largest white‑label online food ordering provider, serving over 40 million customers through branded restaurant apps and sites. Their challenge was delivering HTTPS for thousands of custom customer domains without manual certificate approvals, extra IPs/load balancers, or the fragile session‑handoffs they used previously — a setup that hurt SEO, user trust, analytics, and security.

Olo adopted Cloudflare’s SSL for SaaS plus Cloudflare WAF and DDoS mitigation, letting Cloudflare’s API provision, serve, renew and maintain customer SSL certificates with no changes to end‑user implementations. The result: low‑overhead, end‑to‑end HTTPS, improved performance and privacy (enabling features like Local Storage), simplified engineering, and WAF‑backed PCI‑DSS compliance and protection against attacks.
