Happn is a Paris‑based mobile dating app launched in 2014 that lets users reconnect with people they’ve crossed paths with in real time; it has grown to over 22 million users across more than 40 cities. Rapid global expansion made Happn a visible target for cyberattacks, and the team needed to strengthen customer data security and defend against advanced DDoS and application‑layer attacks without degrading app performance.

Happn partnered with Cloudflare to deploy Anycast DDoS mitigation and a customizable Web Application Firewall (WAF), plus an IPv6 gateway and DNS analytics.
