GovTech Procurement secures 600+ regional websites with Cloudflare

GovTech Procurement, a division under Telkom Indonesia responsible for the national digital procurement platform, faced the challenge of securing sensitive government data against persistent cyber threats like DDoS and bot attacks. They needed a robust solution to ensure platform reliability, data protection, and performance. They partnered with Cloudflare for its application security services, including the Web Application Firewall (WAF) and rate limiting.

Cloudflare implemented its WAF and advanced rate limiting to shield the platform, neutralizing attacks and data scrapers. They also provided secure egress IPs and used their CDN and Argo Smart Routing for performance gains. Using Cloudflare’s SSL for SaaS, they efficiently extended security to over 600 regional websites. The results included a major reduction in attacks, improved site performance, lower origin server traffic, and streamlined certificate management, all while strengthening public trust in the critical national platform.
