With high stakes for uptime and tight cost constraints, the team needed a scalable, enterprise-grade security and performance solution to prevent downtime, hacks, and costly overages.
Giles-Parscale deployed Cloudflare Enterprise — using the WAF, DDoS mitigation, IP firewall/captchas, CDN, DNS, Page Rules, and redundancy strategies — to harden the site and optimize delivery. Between August 2015 and November 2016 Cloudflare blocked 226,500,000 attacks (about 500,000 per day, with single-day peaks near 1,000,000) with no successful compromises; from December 2015 to January 2017 caching saved 324 TB (95%) of bandwidth and the campaign saved more than $250,000 while improving performance and ensuring 24/7 support.
