Case Study: Crisp achieves faster global performance and DDoS resilience with Cloudflare Load Balancing

A Cloudflare Case Study

Preview of the Crisp Case Study

Crisp uses Cloudflare’s Load Balancing to improve the global performance of their customer relationship application

Crisp is a SaaS customer-relationship platform that offers chat, email and operator dashboards, targeting underserved markets in Eastern Europe, Asia and the Middle East. As it expanded, Crisp needed to keep its European-based infrastructure to minimize overhead while fixing high latency for dynamic chat traffic from international users—Cloudflare’s CDN had already trimmed static asset load times but dynamic content still caused 2–3 second delays.

Crisp adopted Cloudflare’s Global Load Balancing (Early Access) to route users to the nearest origin and terminate crypto closer to the client, which cut dynamic-content latency by an additional 2–3 seconds. Built-in health checks and failover kept websocket traffic flowing during server issues, Page Rules + “Cache Everything” reduced bandwidth use, and I’m Under Attack Mode stopped DDoS attempts without service disruption—allowing Crisp to scale internationally affordably while maintaining local infrastructure.
