A Cloudflare Case Study
Naranja, Argentina’s largest credit card issuer with over six million customers and a nationwide branch network, needed to modernize after rapid growth. The bank wanted to move from two on‑prem data centers to a multi‑cloud environment (primarily AWS and some Azure) to gain scalability, enable analytics, mobility and contactless payments, and avoid vendor lock‑in.
Naranja selected Cloudflare for cloud‑native, cloud‑agnostic security and performance services and worked closely with local Cloudflare engineers during migration. By deploying DNS, Load Balancer, CDN, WAF, rate limiting, Argo Smart Routing and other features — plus API automation with Terraform and Splunk integration — Naranja cut AWS egress by 80%, improved load times 20–30% with Argo, and saw Cloudflare WAF block over 730,000 attacks in a 72‑hour period, while increasing visibility, reliability and cost savings.
