Cloudflare makes online stores safe and fast for Shoptop’s merchants

Shoptop, a Shanghai-based one-stop e-commerce service provider with over a decade of experience in site building, payments and cross-border marketing, faced inconsistent security and performance for merchants and consumers across regions. Their existing CDN delivered fast loads in mainland China but was slow for overseas users, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and VPN access exacerbated poor user experience.

By deploying Cloudflare DDoS protection, CDN and Spectrum, Shoptop now intercepts roughly 10,000 attacks per month while keeping legitimate traffic performant; overall site speeds improved by 50% (up to 60% in North America, Europe and Hong Kong).
