RcodeZero DNS, provided by ipcom and nic.at in Austria, operates a global Anycast DNS platform used by over 20 registries and 20 million domains, so service availability is critical. After a September 2020 DDoS attack knocked customer domains and internal operations offline—and exposed the limits of a Europe‑only ISP mitigation—the team realized they needed global, on‑demand DDoS protection.

They implemented Cloudflare Magic Transit to protect entire IP subnets and accelerate traffic.
