Panasonic, a global electronics leader with a dedicated IT arm in Europe (PISCEU), faced growing cyber risks tied to its high-profile brand, including potential DDoS attacks and fragmented security visibility. With multiple firewall appliances and managed solutions, the team needed to consolidate security data, gain actionable insights and early alerting, improve DDoS defense, and ensure quality of service while integrating with existing systems.

Panasonic selected Cloudflare’s HTTP proxy stack—CDN, Advanced DDoS Protection, WAF, Enterprise Domains—and Cloudflare Workers. The WAF delivered a single pane of glass with standardized logs and analytics, blocking large volumes of malicious traffic with default rules and enabling focused custom rules, while integrating with monitoring and boosting performance, scalability, and cost savings. Workers provided a fast, lightweight, bandwidth‑efficient custom download solution from cloud storage, reducing complexity and expenses and proving reliable and scalable.
