TOPdesk is a cloud-based enterprise service management vendor used by service teams to manage incidents, workflows, and configurations for more than 10 million end users. As TOPdesk expanded internationally from its original desktop product to a global SaaS platform, its internally built support app—designed for office/VPN use—could not scale, caused performance bottlenecks, and made it hard to enforce GDPR-scoped access for remote support staff.
TOPdesk deployed Cloudflare Workers to run a lightweight, multi-tenant stack at the edge and put Cloudflare Access in front of the support tool to authenticate and enforce permissions before requests reach Workers. The result: seamless global scaling (traffic doubled with no performance loss), secure 24x7 remote access for support and developers, and uninterrupted customer support when the workforce shifted to remote work.
