Bidu is a Brazilian online property insurance provider serving over 1 million customers and focused on modernizing insurance with technology. As it worked to improve SEO and conversion, Bidu found that slow site speed and latency—especially across a long, multi‑field application—were lowering search rankings and increasing form abandonment, and it needed enterprise‑grade security for the insurance industry.

Bidu deployed Cloudflare’s CDN, Latin America data centers, HTTP/2 support and security suite (WAF and IP reputation filtering) to accelerate and protect the site. Results included time‑to‑first‑byte falling from 8s to 1s, full page load from 13s to 2.3s, an 84% reduction in bandwidth usage, faster quote delivery (quotes in ~30 seconds) and a 30% increase in leads year over year.
