Barn2 Media uses Cloudflare to make their clients' websites faster and more secure for visitors from around the world

Barn2 Media is a UK digital agency that builds affordable WordPress websites for small and medium businesses, often using premade themes to keep client costs low. Those themes can be bloated, causing slow page loads that hurt SEO, user experience and conversions, so Barn2 needed a fast, cost‑effective way to improve performance without undoing the savings of off‑the‑shelf implementations.

They turned on Cloudflare’s CDN and edge security (DDoS mitigation, WAF and easy SSL) and measured results with Pingdom. Across sites they saw 26–60% speed improvements (average 44%), including a drop from 6.36s to 2.56s on one site, with the biggest gains for visitors far from the origin server; at the same time they reduced reliance on heavy security plugins and kept sites secure and lightweight.
