The customer, AsiaBill, a cross-border payment gateway provider, faced challenges in delivering a fast and secure payment experience globally. With servers located in Hong Kong, they experienced slow page loading times for international users, leading to a high cart abandonment rate. To manage this risk and improve speed, they turned to vendor Cloudflare, initially testing its CDN service.

Cloudflare implemented its Global Network and Argo Smart Routing for AsiaBill. This solution cached static content closer to consumers and optimized dynamic routing, drastically improving page load speeds worldwide. The results were significant: page loading times dropped from 8 seconds to 3 seconds, a 62.5% improvement. Consequently, Cloudflare helped AsiaBill reduce the overall cart abandonment rate on its platform by up to 20%, while also lowering associated labor and communication costs.
