KPN significantly lowers total cost of ownership by partnering with CloudBlue

KPN, a Dutch telecommunications company with about $8 billion in annual revenue and operations across Europe and the U.S., faced increasing competitive pressure and needed new wholesale and retail revenue streams from cloud services. To enable its network distributors, resellers and service providers to offer private‑label cloud applications alongside KPN Wholesale’s telephony and internet services, KPN selected CloudBlue as its platform partner, using CloudBlue Commerce and CloudBlue Connect to power a marketplace and service delivery.

CloudBlue implemented a marketplace and integration layer that allowed KPN’s partners to offer customized, private‑label cloud applications quickly and scalably. As a result, KPN created new revenue streams, consolidated tailored application offerings for distributors and resellers, and reduced application delivery time by leveraging CloudBlue Connect—significantly lowering total cost of ownership and increasing the “stickiness” of KPN’s SMB offering.
