A pharmaceutical company conducting an early phase CNS study needed a way for coordinators to visit nursing homes across the UK where subjects could not travel to the research site. The company also needed to protect subject privacy and collect data electronically without internet connectivity, so it worked with Clinical Ink and its SureSource platform.

Clinical Ink developed a customized eSource study that let coordinators download subject charts onto tablets before each visit, capture data offline during the nursing home visit, and then upload the information after returning to the research site. The solution enabled fully remote clinical research, provided offline eSource data capture, ensured the security of sensitive data, and automatically validated data once captured.
