Carlson Hotels partners with corporate travel buyers to get its properties included in companies’ travel programs, but its submission process was slow and error-prone: hotels completed Word forms, faxed them to sales, and staff manually re-entered data into Excel and Salesforce, causing frequent rejections, delays and back-and-forth corrections.
Clicktools replaced the paper workflow with an online form integrated into Salesforce and automated approval workflows and notifications; approved submissions are stored for RFP preparation and rejected ones are returned for correction. The change eliminated faxing, sped approvals, delivered real-time CRM data, saved time and increased efficiency—prompting Carlson to expand Clicktools across multiple processes.
