A leading general entertainment TV channel (GEC) with audiences across multiple countries uses a mobile app for viewers to watch episodes. They needed a way to notify users about new episodes immediately after upload without spamming the entire user base.

CleverTap implemented recurring, show-specific push campaigns that target only users who previously liked or watched that show and include deep links to the new episode. Of 112,490 pushes sent, 11,280 people clicked (10%) and 6,210 converted (6%); targeted recipients watch an average of 8–10 videos each time a notification is sent, driving higher app engagement and reactivating previously dormant users.
