PharmEasy, India’s leading online pharmacy, faced a surge in demand and widespread misinformation during the second wave of COVID-19, alongside typical e-commerce challenges: high cart abandonment, the need for personalized user experiences, and user drop-offs across the funnel. The company needed a way to quickly inform users, ensure medicine access, and lift conversions during a crisis-driven spike in searches for medical supplies.
Using CleverTap, PharmEasy implemented precise audience segmentation, lifecycle journeys, and trigger campaigns (cart/search abandonment and COVID-related prompts), plus high-impact push templates like timers and carousels to drive urgency and relevance. The approach doubled conversions (1.5–2x direct conversions on trigger campaigns) and yielded a 10x increase in push CTRs, improving retention and order completion across their user base.
