Cobbles is a hyper-local social app launched in 2020 in South Boston that helps neighbors connect through photo/video posts, local news, a marketplace and job listings, and is now active in over 60 communities. As an early-stage startup they needed an all‑in‑one engagement platform with A/B and multivariate testing, automated segmentation, omnichannel journeys and campaign analytics, plus startup-friendly pricing and a seamless onboarding flow to drive adoption and retention.
Cobbles joined the CleverTap for Startups program and implemented a Day 1–7 onboarding journey (6 emails and 6 push notifications), followed by ongoing nurture journeys, weekly personalized newsletters via API, targeted push notifications for micro-moments, A/B testing and cohort analysis. These tactics helped create strong first impressions, increase product adoption and habit formation, and deliver a retention rate significantly higher than the industry average.
