BUMP is a London-based peer-to-peer marketplace that brings social commerce to streetwear shoppers, offering authenticated new and vintage drops to a community of over 2 million users. As streetwear moves fast and social discovery drives buying, BUMP’s marketing lead, Jake Mayell, needed a startup-friendly CRM to deliver timely, relevant messaging, better segment users, reduce churn, and grow web conversions while preserving the platform’s trusted buying experience.
BUMP implemented CleverTap to run RFM-based segmentation, intent-driven cross-sell campaigns, and automated journeys that move users between cohorts. The results: campaign CTRs averaged 8% (vs. 1.8% industry), at least 30,000 at-risk users were reactivated, monthly app launches are 40% above industry averages, and the uninstall rate is just 11% (vs. 42% benchmark). BUMP is now extending these tactics to the web to rebalance app/website conversions and scale growth.
